We boast a rich history and highly respected position within our industry, and a clear vision of where we are heading. Where we are now

Where we are now

In 2000 Jonathan Turner became Managing Director and in making his own mark on the company, laid the foundations for a new era for Bayford & Co. Through a programme of continual expansion, diversion and acquisition, Bayford now finds itself in a healthier position than ever before.

Here is just a selection of the recent business moves that have helped us stay ahead of our competitors and cemented our position as one of the UK’s largest independent suppliers of fuels, heating oils, fuel cards and lubricants:

  • Obtaining a permit for the sale of Leaded Four Star to become the only company with a permit to distribute it nationwide
  • Acquiring Dominion Oils from BP, including depots all across the North of England
  • Gaining the UK rights to the famous Gulf brand
  • Launching Gulf Lubricants UK, in association with Gulf, to market and sell oil
  • Acquiring a number of fuel card operations to establish Bayford as the fastest growing fuel card business in the UK

In addition to this, in March 2006 Bayford & Co was announced amongst the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to work for in both 2006 and 2007. This enhances our claim of being both a great company to do business with and a great company to work for.
